An inevitable pause

Our return was short-lived.

It will probably come as no surprise that volunteering will once again be suspended until the new restrictions are lifted.

So there will be no FoDF task this Sunday as planned and until further notice. Given that we were unlikely to be able to do our usual Christmas activities anyway, it is safe to say that we will not be restarting tasks until at least January 2021, and more likely even later than that.

Dalby Forest remains open for outdoor recreation and exercise. Just remember to plan ahead and follow the latest Government guidance for travel, outdoor spaces and meeting people from outside your household.

Stay safe!

Judith

Welcome

Welcome to the new look website for the Friends of Dalby Forest!

Dalby is the Great Yorkshire forest situated within the beautiful North York Moors National Park, managed by the Forestry Commission (who are responsible for protecting and promoting the sustainable management of Dalby).

As a non-profit registered charity (1125882), the Friends of Dalby Forest  are a group of volunteers who meet regularly in the forest to enhance the facilities and settings for all visitors on a wide range of Forestry Commission-approved projects.

We meet up to carry out our tasks every month, just for a few hours in the fresh Dalby air. You are welcome to join us one day. Keep in touch with us by following us on Twitter, by joining our Facebook group or email webmaster@friendsofdalbyforest.org.uk  to ask to be added to our email list which we use to notify volunteers of upcoming tasks and events.
