Although you may have seen that Dalby Forest is open to visitors again (albeit with some differences to manage social distancing. with the play equipment and play areas, GoApe, visitor centre information desk, café and bike hire all remaining closed for now), I am sure you are wondering when we will be able to get back to our work tasks. However there are still no plans to resume volunteering as yet.
FoDF take our steer on this from Forestry England and its volunteer coordinators. We will resume activities as soon as it is deemed we can do so safely but we are not able to restart just yet. I am sure we will have quite a lot to do once we are able. Forest garden buttercups spring to mind!
Unfortunately suspension of activities also includes our one and only fundraiser of the year, our duck dash.
